What are best friends for?

Aristotle once asked:

_"What is a friend?"
He was so clever he already had the answer:
_" A single soul dwelling in two bodies."

I would like to share another view. My own:

A friend is a person that doesn't necessarily have to  be your single soul (half of it, to be more precise).  But your best friend....
That  would  be  someone  who  will stick around when you need them,  who  will  laugh  with  you when you're happy and comfort you  when  you're sad. It will be a person that you are able  to  share that really embarrassing thing you are afraid to tell the world but she/he won't make a big deal out of it. It will be the person you can share you darkest fears and your most colourful non-sense. The best friend will be the one who knows all your quirkiness and will be cool about it, because they are full of their own as well. The best friend is the one that can "read" you even when you have your best poker face. It will be also the one who is not going to be scared to tell you off when you are going overboard and maybe say the things no one has the gut to say and you're cool about that too. Best friends are the ones who are with you at all times even though there's an ocean between the two of you, through thick and thin. And what I can say about  best friends other than that stated above is that they are the one who are going to correct your posts. For free. Even when she knows how much you dislike being corrected! :D
